Sick Days Vs Vacation Days

Since tuition will be paid on the 1st of the month, we will be unable to refund in the event of sick days. However, if you know that your family will be out for such as a vacation or travel let us know prior to the payment and we will prorate the cost based on that time off. 

School Calendar & Snow Policies

Hummingbird Academy will follow the snow closure schedule of the Mount Olive public school district.

Our school calendar is attached to this page. Our first day of school will be on September 9th and our last day of school will be June 4th, 2027.

Special Days & Field Trips

Special days will be announced as the school year approaches but we are hopeful to have a community helpers day in which the ambulance squad, fire department, police department from our town will come by and have a visit with the class and discuss safety. 

We would like to have field trips for the Hummingbird Academy which we will discuss in our first monthly newsletter linked below in September.

Additional Facts

Students only need to bring their snack/lunch all other supplies and materials are provided.

Students should always be dressed in layers to allow for outdoor exploration
